In March 2024, Honey and Carl embarked on what would prove to be a life-changing adventure, fueled by their undeniable passion for sailing and the spirit of exploration that beckoned them from the horizon. Following their recent engagement, they made a bold decision to leave behind the comforts of their conventional life and fully embrace the freedom and excitement offered by the open sea. This was more than just a logistical shift; it was a profound lifestyle change.
To embark on this thrilling venture, they took considerable steps, which included selling the majority of their possessions and renting out their beloved home in Australia, a place filled with cherished memories. With their sails set towards new horizons, they charted a course for the breathtaking Mediterranean, a destination renowned for its stunning landscapes, rich history, and diverse cultures.
Their journey is not solely about the act of sailing itself; it encompasses a broader narrative of freedom, discovery, and community. While living in the enchanting region of Corfu, eagerly awaiting the completion of their new sailing catamaran that is currently being constructed in La Rochelle, they find themselves immersed in the vibrant culture and natural beauty surrounding them.
